Our cuisine

Our food is best described by the notion of whole food plant-based (WFPB) which focuses on consuming foods in their most natural and unprocessed forms, prioritizing plant-derived ingredients. This approach emphasizes the importance of eating whole, unrefined foods, which are rich in nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants, while minimizing or eliminating processed and animal-based products.

In a WFPB diet, the cornerstone is a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds.

These foods are enjoyed in their purest state. The goal is to maximize the benefits on well being by consuming foods that are minimally processed and free from additives that can detract from their nutritional value.

Key benefits of a whole food plant-based diet include improved heart health, better digestion, enhanced energy levels, and reduced risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and certain cancers. By focusing on whole foods, individuals not only nourish their bodies but also support overall well-being and sustainability.

The WFPB concept is rooted in the idea that nature provides the most wholesome and beneficial foods, and that by embracing a diet centered on these foods, people can achieve optimal well being while contributing to a more environmentally friendly and ethical food system.

Plant based

As passionate vegans ourselves, we wanted to create a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious, nutritious meals without compromising your values. Whether you're a seasoned vegan or simply curious about trying something new, we invite you to experience the delicious world of plant-based cuisine.

Gluten free

We understand the challenges that people with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease face when dining out. That's why our kitchen is completely gluten-free, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Whether you're following a strict gluten-free diet or simply prefer gluten-free options, you can relax and savor our delicious menu without worry. In Kasvila, we believe that gluten-free food can be just as delicious and satisfying as any other cuisine.

Natural ingredients

Our goal is to minimize our use of refined white sugar and instead opt for alternatives like cane sugar, maple syrup, or date syrup.

Instead of relying heavily on vinegar, we use freshly squeezed lemon juice to brighten our dishes and enhance their flavor.

Oils

In our cooking, we prioritize the use of high-quality, minimally processed oils such as extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, and Finnish cold-pressed rapeseed oil.

Herbs and spices

From classic spice blends like garam masala and curry powder to more unique combinations, we use herbs and spices to add depth and complexity to our dishes. Herbs and spices to us are a natural way to add flavor to our food without relying on artificial additives or preservatives.
